I was born and raised on Oahu and worked for Andrews Advisory Associates, LLC straight out of high school before relocating to Oregon in 2018 and loving it. I took on various roles at a friendly neighborhood grocery store chain and delighted in building connections with the community and local businesses I got to interact with. There are few things that unite people better than food, and Portland does food exceptionally well.
In 2023, I was given the opportunity to return to Andrews Advisory Associates, LLC full-time as a remote worker. Many of my duties now revolve around maintaining and continuously improving our database, supporting my team with operational and technological tasks, and incorporating creativity into other projects, like designing our brochure and our clients’ birthday cards.
Although most of my work is done remotely, I enjoy visiting Hawaii to connect with the team in person and to visit friends and family. When I’m not working, I like going to the gym, visiting my local library and reading books, singing my heart out at karaoke, and spending time admiring the beauty of Oregon's natural areas and parks. My fiancé and I adore animals and we have both a frog and a cat at home.

What motivates you to do your best every day?
Life can be unpredictable and challenging, but we are not alone in the world. Our choices, actions, and interactions all have impact on others. By choosing to do my best with what I have available, I am setting myself up to do better for myself and others each day.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about money?
Spending is not a dirty word (although yes, it is very possible to overdo it). You can be intentional with your spending by choosing to support the causes, businesses, and communities that align with your personal goals and values. This can be mean making a generous donation to your favorite charity (I really admire the work of Blanchet House in Portland), or being selective about where you buy your morning coffee. It's your money - you get to choose who you want to give it to.
What do you refuse to spend money on?
I try to avoid ATM fees like the plague! I would much rather purchase something I need from a store that offers cash back (without a fee).
