I have known Travis for many years and was fortunate to connect with him when Andrews Advisory Associates, LLC was seeking to expand their team.  I joined the firm in June 2024, having already gained nine years of experience as a Wealth Manager at other local financial institutions.  The culture of the firm was a perfect fit with my own values and goals.  I am happy to provide the highest level of fiduciary service for our clients, and proud to be part of a team where everyone shares the same priorities.  I added to the value we provide to clients by creating a monthly e-mail newsletter to stay in touch between quarterly reports.

I was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii and graduated from the Shidler College of Business at UH Manoa. I earned my Certified Financial Planner® designation in 2019.  I am involved with serving the community by supporting HUGS – Help, Understanding & Group Support – a non-profit organization that helps families who are dealing with the unimaginable hardship of caring for a seriously ill child.

After I joined the team, some co-workers and I formed a “running club” complete with our own shirts that I designed.  We continued to build camaraderie, completing several races together in the past year, including a half-marathon.  We golf and enjoy sporting events together.  I love golfing, hiking, and exploring new eateries around the island and abroad.

Get to know our team! Questions & Answers

What motivates you to do your best every day?

I’ve been told that we stand on the shoulders of the giants who came before us. I am motivated by the selflessness and wisdom of my mentors to give back to our community through holistic financial planning and support.

What is something you look forward to experiencing in the future?

I look forward to building a practice that enriches our clients’ lives.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about money?

I wish everyone knew that money-related decisions are often emotionally driven and personal. It is easier to make a logical decision with our money once we recognize our feelings around it.

What is one of your favorite books and podcasts?

A book that I come back to often is Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don’t Know by Adam Grant (2021). I also frequently listen to podcasts on my commute such as Odd Lots with Joe Weisenthal and Tracy Alloway (Bloomberg) for deep dives on current events and The Rest Is History, produced by Goalhanger Podcasts, for fun history stories.

How did you first start working with Andrews Advisory Associates, LLC?

Travis and I started in the industry at around the same time after college. I have a deep respect for independent advisers who build their own business outside of the normal retail structure. I feel fortunate to join the team at Andrews Advisory Associates, LLC and continue the work of their founder, Les Andrews.

When not working, what are you involved with?

On the weekends, you will normally find me at a golf course either working in the pro shop or playing a round. I also enjoy spending time with my significant other, playing pickleball, hiking, or eating at a local restaurant.
